SEO for builders, developers and construction
Real estate SEO makes your projects visible when buyers search by locality, budget and configuration. In India that demand is largely intercepted by property portals, which then sell you back the lead. Owning locality and project searches directly is how developers reduce that dependency.
What people actually type before they contact you
This is where generic SEO advice falls apart. Get the intent wrong and you rank for words nobody who buys from you ever uses.
Locality plus configuration plus budget
“3 BHK in Sarjapur Road under 1.5 crore” is the shape of a real buying search. It is specific, it is local, and portals rank for it because developers do not build pages that match it.
Project name searches are pure intent
Someone searching your project by name is far down the funnel. If a portal outranks you for your own project name, you are paying for a lead you had already earned.
Long research, many visits
Property research runs for weeks across many sessions and devices. Remarketing and brand recall matter more here than in almost any other sector.
Visual and trust-driven
Floor plans, walkthroughs, construction progress and RERA details are what convert. They are also what earns links and time on page.
The problems specific to your sector
None of these are unsolvable. All of them are ignored by an agency running the same playbook for every client.
- Portals with enormous domain authority occupying the highest-intent searches
- Cost per lead on Google Ads among the highest of any Indian sector
- Project microsites that launch, rank, and are abandoned after handover
- Claims about returns and appreciation that create regulatory exposure
What we do differently for real estate
-
Build locality pages that deserve to rank
Genuine area guides — connectivity, schools, infrastructure, price trends, what it is actually like to live there — rather than a template with the locality name swapped in.
-
Own your project names
Every project gets a properly optimised page on your primary domain, so brand searches land on you rather than a portal listing.
-
Structure for configuration and budget searches
Pages and filters that match how buyers actually search, marked up so search engines can read specifications.
-
Pair SEO with tightly controlled Google Ads
Given the cost per click in this sector, negative keywords and dedicated landing pages are not optional. This is where paid budgets are most commonly wasted.
-
Retarget across the long consideration window
Meta and Google remarketing to keep the project present through a multi-week decision.
RERA and advertising claims
Real estate advertising in India requires RERA registration details in promotional material, and claims about appreciation, guaranteed returns or assured rentals carry real regulatory risk. We keep RERA identifiers on project pages and ads, and we do not write investment-return copy.
What we’d typically run for you
The mix differs by business. The audit tells us which of these to start with, and in what order.
Local SEO
You can be page-one on Google and still invisible in the map pack that gets the calls.
On-Page SEO
Most sites we audit lose more traffic to fixable on-page problems than to any competitor.
Link Building
If you would not be happy to be seen on it, we do not build a link on it.
Website Audits
Not a 60-page tool export. Three things that matter, in order.
Social Media Advertisements
Reach is a diagnostic, not a result. We optimise for cost per enquiry.
Google Advertisements
Management fee separate from ad spend. You own the account. Always.
Frequently asked questions
Can we really compete with 99acres and MagicBricks?
Not for broad head terms — their domains are too strong. You can win on your own project names, on specific locality-plus-configuration searches, and on genuinely useful area content. That is enough to move a meaningful share of leads in-house.
Is SEO or Google Ads better for real estate?
Both, deliberately balanced. Ads deliver leads immediately at a high cost per lead; SEO takes months and then lowers your blended cost. Most developers should run ads for launches and build organic locality authority in parallel. Because we run both, we have no reason to over-sell either.
What happens to a project page after the project sells out?
Keep it, update it, and redirect its authority toward your next project in the same locality. Deleting sold-out project pages throws away the strongest local signals you have.
Do you work with interior designers and architects?
Yes. The pattern is different — portfolio-led, highly local, with strong Google Business Profile and visual search components — but it is one of the better-converting categories we work in.
How long does real estate SEO take?
Project name and brand searches can be secured within weeks. Locality authority is a 6–12 month build, because you are competing with portals that have spent a decade earning it.
