Google Ads managed on cost per lead
Google Ads puts you at the top of search results for terms you choose, and you pay when someone clicks. It reaches people at the moment they are looking for what you sell, which makes it the fastest route to enquiries — and the fastest way to waste money if the account is set up carelessly.
What usually goes wrong
Broad match keywords with no negative list, so a dental clinic pays for clicks on “dental college admission” and “dentist salary”.
Every campaign pointing at the homepage. A dedicated landing page matching the search is usually the difference between a workable cost per lead and an impossible one.
Conversion tracking that counts page views as conversions, making a failing account look successful for months.
Agencies charging a percentage of spend, which quietly rewards them for spending more.
What you actually get
Concrete deliverables, not adjectives. Everything here is work we do, show you, and report on.
Account audit
Wasted spend, search term review, quality score analysis, and what your current setup is actually paying for.
Keyword and negative keyword strategy
Buying-intent terms, sensible match types, and an aggressively maintained negative list. The negatives usually save more than the keywords earn.
Campaign build
Search, Performance Max, Shopping and remarketing as appropriate — structured so you can see what each is contributing.
Ad copy and extensions
Multiple responsive ads per group, tested continuously, with sitelinks, callouts and call extensions in place.
Landing pages
A page that matches the search intent. We will tell you when your existing pages are the reason your cost per lead is high.
Conversion tracking and reporting
Real conversion actions — calls, form submissions, WhatsApp clicks — imported into GA4 and reported as leads and cost per lead.
The process, with real timelines
These are the timelines we actually work to. Early movement in 60–90 days, meaningful growth at four to six months — we would rather say it upfront than have you find out later.
-
Audit and tracking setup
We do not launch until conversion tracking is verified. Running ads without it is buying data you cannot read.
Week 1 -
Build and launch
Campaign structure, keywords, negatives, ad copy and landing pages in place.
Weeks 1–2 -
Search term mining
The highest-value ongoing task: reading what people actually searched, adding negatives, and promoting winners.
Weekly, ongoing -
Optimise toward cost per lead
Bid strategy, budget reallocation, ad and landing page testing.
Ongoing -
Report
Leads, cost per lead, and where the budget went. Impressions are in there, near the bottom.
Monthly
Who this is for
- Businesses that need enquiries now, while SEO builds
- High-value services where one client justifies real spend — legal, real estate, healthcare, B2B
- E-commerce brands ready for Shopping campaigns
- Anyone testing a new market or product before committing to SEO
When we’d tell you not to bother
If your margins cannot support the cost per click in your sector, ads will not work no matter who runs them. We check that before you spend anything, and we will tell you if the numbers do not add up.
Frequently asked questions
How is ad spend handled?
Your ad spend goes directly to Google from your own account, which you own and keep. Our management fee is separate from it and never taken as a slice of your budget. How much spend a campaign needs depends heavily on your sector — get in touch and we will tell you honestly whether the numbers work before you commit to anything.
Should I do Google Ads or SEO?
Usually both, in sequence. Ads deliver enquiries this month and stop the moment you stop paying. SEO takes months and then keeps working. The common answer is to run ads while SEO compounds, then reduce ad spend as organic takes over. Because we do both, we have no reason to push you toward one.
Do you charge a percentage of ad spend?
No, a flat monthly fee. Percentage pricing gives your agency a reason to spend more of your budget.
Who owns the Google Ads account?
You do. We work inside your account. If you leave, you keep everything — the account, the history, the conversion data.
How fast do Google Ads work?
Traffic starts the day you launch. Reliable cost-per-lead figures take about 4–6 weeks of data. Anything read before that is noise.
