Website audits: three findings, prioritised, in plain English
A website audit identifies what is stopping your site from ranking and converting. Ours is done by a person, not generated by a tool: we look at your site, your search visibility and your competitors, then tell you the specific things costing you the most traffic and what fixing each one involves.
What usually goes wrong
Most “free SEO audits” are an automated PDF from a tool, generated in four seconds, listing 340 issues in red with no sense of which three actually matter. They exist to alarm you into a sales call.
They are also useless to act on. Nobody has ever fixed 340 issues.
What you actually need is: what is the biggest thing costing me traffic, what will it take to fix, and is it worth paying anyone to do it.
What you actually get
Concrete deliverables, not adjectives. Everything here is work we do, show you, and report on.
Technical health check
Indexation, crawlability, site speed on real devices, mobile usability, HTTPS and redirect handling, structured data.
Search visibility assessment
What you currently rank for, what you should rank for, and where the gap is widest — including terms you are on page two for, which are the fastest wins available.
Competitor comparison
Two or three direct competitors: what they rank for that you do not, and what they are doing to earn it.
Content and keyword mapping
Which pages target which terms, where pages compete with each other, and what is missing entirely.
Local visibility check
Google Business Profile completeness, map pack position, and citation consistency, if location matters to your business.
A prioritised action list
Ordered by impact against effort, with an honest note on what you can do yourself and what needs a specialist.
The process, with real timelines
These are the timelines we actually work to. Early movement in 60–90 days, meaningful growth at four to six months — we would rather say it upfront than have you find out later.
-
You send your URL
Through the form. Tell us your main competitors and what a good enquiry looks like for you — it makes the audit far more useful.
Day 0 -
We audit it properly
A person goes through your site, your Search Console data if you share it, and your competitors.
1–3 working days -
We walk you through it
A call or a written summary, whichever you prefer. You get the findings either way.
Within a week -
You decide
Take the list to your own team, to another agency, or work with us. The audit is yours regardless.
No deadline
Who this is for
- Anyone considering hiring an SEO agency and wanting a second opinion
- Businesses whose traffic dropped after a redesign or migration
- Sites that have plateaued despite ongoing SEO spend
- Anyone who suspects their current agency is not doing much
When we’d tell you not to bother
If you want a 200-page document to put in a drawer, we are the wrong choice. Our audits are short on purpose.
Frequently asked questions
How long does an audit take?
Usually a few working days, depending on the size of the site and whether we have access to Search Console and Analytics. We agree the scope with you before we start. If we cannot find anything worth fixing, we will tell you that too — we would rather say so than sell you work you do not need.
What do you need from me?
Your website URL is the minimum. Read-only access to Google Search Console and Google Analytics makes the audit substantially better, but is optional.
How is this different from an automated audit tool?
A tool tells you what is technically non-standard. It cannot tell you which of those things is actually costing you money, or that your real problem is that two of your pages are competing for your best keyword. That judgement is the whole value.
Will you try to sell me a retainer?
We will tell you once what we would do and why. If the answer is that you do not need an agency, we will say that — it happens more often than you would expect.
How long does it take?
One to three working days, depending on the size of the site and how many are in the queue. Large e-commerce sites take longer.
